Data from my favorite of the trials above:

Glenn FB, Glenn WD, Duncan RC. Fluoride tablet supplementation during pregnancy for caries immunity: A study of the offspring produced. Am J Obstet Gynecol 1982; 143:560-64. (Glenn was quick to tell me that many of these cases were a situation where the first child (the control) probably got poor care in pregnancy and at any rate was a basket case dentally when they took over for the pregnancy of the second child (the fluoride child) who probably got better care in pregnancy besides the fluoride. If nothing else the fluoride children went through pregnancy just as obstetricians realized that restricting the mothers weight was not a good idea. Also, the PNF children are younger and would not be expected to have as much tooth decay as their older sibs. But no matter how you correct the data, 97% caries free at age 5 years is still better than any other results with any other dose schedule.)
